Adobe Software for Students
Off-Campus Students and Computers
Adobe software for off campus students requires a paid subscription. Mt. SAC has purchased Adobe licenses of a sufficient quantity to give a license to every student who is actively enrolled in a class that requires the use of Adobe products for Student Learning Outcomes. The license may be used on personal computers or tablets. The Adobe license will remain active until approximately one week after the end of finals. At the end of the license period, Adobe products will enter a free trial mode. Being registered in a single class that requires Adobe products for Student Learning Outcomes will entitle the student to a license. Once a week, Mt. SAC will update Adobe with a list of student email addresses which have been added or removed from a class roster. Students who are already registered for an eligible course in the upcoming term will retain their license through the following term. Students must create a free Adobe ID account with their Mt. SAC MountieMail+ address (@student.mtsac.edu) to use the Adobe license. If a student has purchased additional or overlapping Adobe subscriptions using their Mt. SAC email address, these licenses will “stack”. Students may download Adobe software by logging in to the Adobe.com website.
If you are enrolled in a class that requires Adobe software, and you are able to login at Adobe.com using an Adobe ID with your Mt. SAC student email address but do not have software, please talk to your professor. Advise the professor to check with their Department Chair or Dean to ensure this course is on the list for student Adobe licenses.
On-Campus Students and Computers
Adobe software for College devices on the Mt. SAC campus is free to any student with a free Adobe ID. Students on campus are not required to be enrolled in any particular classes to use Adobe software on College computer. Adobe software is pre-installed on on-campus Mt. SAC devices
Student Adobe Account Claim Process
Although students should have received an email from Adobe informing the student of new software entitlements, not all students received notification. We suspect this is due to the tens of thousands of emails Adobe was trying to send for every college such as Mt. SAC. If you did not receive the Adobe email, you can still go through the account claim process. Please follow the steps below.

- 1. User a web browser to visit https://adobe.com and click on the Sign In button.
Type in your student email address and click "Continue"
- You may get a notice “additional account details required” telling you to check your email. You can close this browser tab.
- Visit the Mt. SAC portal and click on the Mountie Mail icon.
