Portal: How to Enter or Update Chosen Name

Enter Chosen Name

To enter or update your Chosen (Preferred) Name:

1.Navigate to the Enter/Update Chosen Name page in your browser. You will need to login using your portal ID and Password.

2. Enter your Chosen First Name in the Please enter/update your Chosen first name field.

Note: This same form also allows you to pick from the list of pronouns.

To select your pronouns:

2. Select a Pronoun set from the list.

a. she/her/hers

b. they/them/theirs

c. he/him/his

d. she/her/ella

e. they/them/elle

f. he/him/el

3. Click Submit.

Note: The next time your ID card is printed it will show your updated Chosen First Name and Pronouns as shown in Figure 2.

Delete Chosen Name

To delete your Chosen First Name (or most recent PREF record in Banner)
